How to take care:
Placement: In a bright place with good ventilation, away from direct sunlight
Soil: Keep the soil consistently moist.
Watering: When the surface of the soil starts to dry up, it can be checked every 2 days or so.
Temperature & Humidity: Keep temperatures between 16-32°C
Nutrients: Liquid fertiliser will be good, apply once a week.
Common issue:
Scenario 1: Plant start to lose leaves:
Too warm or too dry in the room or plant is thirsty.
Scenario 2: Leaves wilting
Too dry, check the soil if it is dry to the touch, if yes, water right away
Witting or dropping leaves can also be a sign of over watering, meaning the need to adjust watering.
Scenario 3: Leave turning green
To maintain its blooming colour, keep them in complete darkness from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily. As sunlight will trigger the photosynthesis process which turns from its blooming colour to green.
Scenario 3: Bugs attacks – Whiteflies
Whiteflies are common bugs that may attack poinsettia. Use Mr. Ganick Super Margosa.
For prevention, apply once a week. For pest control, apply once every 2 to 3 days until pests are repelled.
Shake well before spraying on pests or whole plants. If you have other plants in house, remember to cover them too.
